Programs and Courses
The Department of Landscape Architecture at Mississippi State University offers two undergraduate programs of study, one leading to a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and one to a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting and Management. We also offer a graduate program leading to the Master of Landscape Architecture degree.
The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture is a four-year, first professional degree which prepares students for entry level positions in landscape architectural firms and the subsequent licensing examinations required by most states.
The Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting and Management is a four-year program of study which includes three summer semesters of internship with an approved landscape contracting company. This program also is directed toward required licensing examinations.
The Master of Landscape Architecture is a two year degree for students who already hold a B.L.A. Students who hold bachelor degrees in other disciplines can attain this degree by completing an additional year of course work.
